Drug-Free Marshals

dfmlogo Although I have placed a lot of information on this blog about drug abuse and it’s devastating effects on young chidren, this blog is not all about what is wrong with society.

Everyones-Business.com also presents solutions to the challenges facing our planet today. I believe that something can be done about it. We can make a difference. But we have to act. We have to take personal responsibility. We cannot leave it to “others” to handle. This is your world, your life, your planet!

The first step is to recognize the problems we face – individually and collectively. And the next step is to find and apply the solutions that will truly handle them.

While drug promotion and drug use is running rampant in our world and ruining countless lives there are groups and individuals who are making a difference in this area, through education and drug-free programs.

Here is an example. In 1993, the Church of Scientology International created and launched the “Drug-Free Marshals” youth drug-education and prevention program to educate children as young as 6 on the dangers of drugs, and to challenge them to remain drug-free. Children demonstrate their commitment to a drug-free life by being “sworn in” as Drug-Free Marshals. Not only do they pledge to remain drug-free themselves, they also pledge to encourage their peers to do the same.

To-date more than 3.1 million people have been sworn in as Drug-Free Marshals in cities and towns throughout the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, Europe, and South Africa!
